Privacy Policy

Receipt Lines is designed as a local-only receipt scanning and receipt organization app. Receipt Lines does not require an account, does not upload your receipt library to developer-operated servers, and does not sell your personal data.
Information Stored By The App
Receipt Lines may store the following information on your device:
- Receipt photos you capture or import.
- OCR text recognized from receipt images.
- Parsed receipt details such as merchant, purchase date, subtotal, tax, total, gratuity or tip when applicable, and line items.
- Tags, warranty notes, return reminders, and receipt notes.
- App settings such as theme choice and biometric unlock preference.
Local Storage
Receipt Lines stores receipt data locally on your device using app-private storage and SQLite. The app is intended to keep your receipt library on your device unless you choose to export, back up, print, or share it.
Camera And Photos
Receipt Lines requests camera permission so you can scan receipt photos. Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a receipt. Receipt Lines may also request access to selected photos when you choose to import a receipt image from your gallery.
Receipt Text Recognition
Receipt Lines performs receipt text recognition for the purpose of extracting receipt details and item lines. The app is designed to process receipt images on the device and does not send receipt images to developer-operated servers for OCR.
Notifications
Receipt Lines may request notification permission so it can show local return reminder notifications. Reminder notifications are generated from receipt data stored on your device.
Biometric Unlock
If enabled, Receipt Lines uses the biometric authentication system on your device to help protect access to saved receipts. Receipt Lines does not receive or store biometric data.
Exports And Backups
You can choose to export receipt data to CSV files or create a full local backup. Exported and backed-up files are created only when you request them. After export, backup, print, or share, you are responsible for where those files are saved or sent.
Third Parties
Receipt Lines does not sell personal data. The app does not include ads, account tracking, or developer-operated cloud sync.
Data Deletion
You can delete receipts inside the app. You can also remove app data from Android system settings. Deleting or uninstalling the app may remove local receipt data unless you have created a backup first.
Changes To This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated if Receipt Lines changes how it stores, processes, exports, or shares data. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
